Initially, I planned to rant about Rupert murdock’s slow encroaching takeover of the media, but in light of the fate of others who have made such comments on his character. I instead decide to make a parody of the Duck and Cover animations used in the cold war warning people about the imminent zombie apocalypse

KIB105 TUT exercise 4
http://www.vimeo.com/15216189
had loads of fun with this one, linking the words and imigary. went a bit over the top, though i must say i was rather proud of the final section where the words form a clock as the narrator talks about time.
I hope to expand this into a full video, covering the whole audio track during the holidyas so watch my vimeo account.

KIB105 TUT exercise 7
After effects hates me for some reason

found this exercise verry easy... once i got it working after the 5th Fracking Try.
expanded the scan range for the corner points.
Took longer to process, but but stopped After Effects from loosing track of the corner points, only minor adjustments required.

KIB105 TUT exercise 6

decided to use a differnt musical track for theis exercise.
given the nature of the animation involves i sought out a track that was heavy on bass, with a good beat and a reasonable amount of treble.
which of course led me to TECHNO. Having made my choice of music i sought out appropriatly matching visual stimuli. i.e. lots of rainbow colours and spinning pulsating things.
as a side note i was unable to make After Effects automayically cycle through colours and insted kerframed thm myself.
I had to make the clip short as the blur and shifting colours ment it took 1/2 and hour to render 12 seconds.

used a lot of scale and opacity manipulation to make the seperate images POP!
sound file was a bit distorted, had mike to close to my mouth

KIB105 TUT exercise 3
http://www.vimeo.com/14020945
for this exercise, i went with all the cliche's of discount stores. lots of bright colours, explosions or stars. BARGINS! popping out at you.
to make the porducts POP, i set the opacity to zero and took the scale way adown before ramping up boath to full , weith some scaling up and down to give the explosions vectors bounce.
Used this same techneque extensively in my first assignment.
